The Golden Lion is a well-loved traditional English pub in Fareham. They boast a great menu of both food and drink, a friendly atmosphere to all, and some great events! Plus, their garden seating is the perfect place to cool off in the summer. Being as the site is just down the road from our head office, this project was particularly close to home.
Unfortunately, a devastating fire tore through the upstairs accommodation, completely destroying the kitchen and leaving the rest of the flat severely smoke damaged. The pub itself was spared, but the living space above was left in an uninhabitable state, requiring a full-scale refurbishment.
After the smoke cleared, we arrived on-site, and it was clear that everything needed to be stripped back to its bare bones. We ripped out all fire damaged materials, ensuring that any compromised structures were safely removed. Then, our electricians were on site to make safe all the newly exposed wiring and to remove various melted light fittings, fans, and other appliances.
