All merchants we deal with on a regular basis who supply timber to our workshop and our sites are FSC certified. This means any wood we use is sustainably sourced, and the forests it comes from are not done any harm by their interference. We never deal with suppliers of wood unless they are FSC certified. As for other materials, we are working on solutions for lower waste and sending less into landfill.
Usually after identifying joinery works are required, one of our surveyors will complete a desktop quotation for you based on your bespoke joinery requirements. Once an order is approved, a qualified joiner will complete a site survey to take manufacturing dimensions for drawing production. Then, everything is signed off, finishes are all agreed, and work begins in our shop. After all that, our highly qualified trades will install and finish your product to bring your bespoke solution to life.

All our joinery operatives work within our Company H&S Policy and SSIPs accreditations. However, joinery shops introduce very specific hazards into the workplace. With that comes very specific measures we must adopt to keep everyone safe.
We work with extraction systems (LEV) to remove the dusts, fumes, vapours, and any other dangerous substance produced by our processes. At Hi-Tech we ensure that our LEV System is in efficient working order, so it continues to provide the necessary protection. All our equipment is subjected to regular 12 month inspections.

There are a multitude of things to consider at all stages of design and installation to make sure you have a safe operating environment, spanning multiple regulations and regulatory bodies. This includes gas safety, food safety, electrical safety, pest control, water regulations and more. Fortunately, at Hi-Tech, we have years of experience dealing with all areas of this. We ensure that our designs and repairs meet the required statutory requirements across the board.
