About the role
We’re looking for a Health & Safety Apprentice to join our team and develop a career in health, safety and compliance.
This isn’t an apprenticeship where you’ll spend all your time behind a desk. You’ll gain practical experience across a busy commercial property business, supporting work ranging from reactive maintenance and engineering through to construction and refurbishment projects.
You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues while completing formal training, gradually developing the knowledge and confidence to support managers and operational teams with real health and safety challenges.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who is interested in how businesses actually manage risk and wants to build a professional career in health and safety from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Health & Safety team with day-to-day activities.
- Helping maintain health, safety and compliance records.
- Assisting with risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Supporting the preparation and review of health and safety documentation.
- Helping monitor training, qualifications and compliance requirements.
- Assisting with site inspections and audits.
- Gaining practical exposure to construction, engineering and maintenance activities.
- Helping investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Supporting managers with health and safety information and guidance.
- Maintaining accurate records within company systems.
- Helping identify opportunities to improve working practices.
- Completing the study and development requirements of your apprenticeship.
