The Brief

Recover the building without shutting the business below.

A faulty appliance caused extensive fire damage to the top floor and roof, requiring a major rebuild.

Hi-Tech provided a structural survey and bill of quantities, then planned a five-week restoration programme around insurer requirements.

The scope sought to retain 60% of rafters, 50% of the plate and 100% of the tiles while rebuilding what could not be saved.

The Approach

Safe access and salvage were central to the programme.

Fire-damaged material was cleared and a scaffold with a tin roof and crash deck was designed to create a controlled working environment.

The unaffected ground floor remained operational, so the work had to progress safely above an active community pub.

Recover the building. Protect the operation. Meet the programme.

The project was planned around the property, the customer and the operational environment.
