About the role
Hi-Tech Property Services is looking for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join our growing maintenance team.
You will diagnose, service and repair commercial catering equipment across pubs, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues. This mobile role offers variety, independence and the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on commercial catering equipment.
- Service and maintain gas and electric cooking appliances.
- Work on combination ovens, fryers, grills, ranges, dishwashers and other commercial kitchen equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Identify defective components and complete repairs efficiently.
- Complete service reports and accurate job records using mobile systems.
- Provide professional technical advice and maintain customer relationships.
- Complete all work safely and in accordance with relevant regulations.
About You
- Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with a range of commercial catering manufacturers.
- Commercial Catering Gas (COMCAT) qualifications desirable, not essential.
- Refrigeration and F-Gas qualifications desirable, not essential.
- Good understanding of gas, electrical and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Practical, customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
Gas and refrigeration qualifications are advantageous but not essential. We welcome experienced engineers keen to develop their qualifications further.
